System Requirements iView works fine on any Mac with system 7.5 or higher, with QuickTime 2.5+ and 1 meg of free memory (preferably 4MB), . It will also run under 7.1 if you have the "Macintosh Drag and Drop" extension installed. QuickTime 2.5 can be found at: ftp://ftp.quicktime.apple.com/software/QuickTime/mac_qt25.hqx iView fully supports Macintosh Drag and Drop, so you can drag in pictures in many formats. Drag & Drop is supported between iView the finder and any other application that accepts PICT dragged items. iView comes as a fat binary. This means its accelerated for the PowerPC, and also runs on Macs with the older 68000 chip. XTND should be installed and the 'XTND Power Enabler' placed in the applications folder or the extension folder. If the XTND system is not enabled (you can check this in the "About iView" dialog box under the apple menu) TIFF/EPS files (or folders that contain them) will not activate iView's drag and drop action. iView/QuickTime does not support Photoshop files with complex layer/channel arrangement. iView/EPSF_XTND supports Macintosh EPS files only (as opposed to generic or IBM EPS). This is because Macintosh EPS files (although identical to other types) they contain their image info within their resource fork. iView/TIFF_XTND supports uncompressed TIFF files only.
